In high temperature (above 50 ℃) or in acidic environment (pH = 5), alkyl ether sulfate may decompose. The reason of decomposition is hydrolysis of alkyl ether sulfate. In view of the fact that alkyl ether sulfate is easy to hydrolyze at high temperature, the product should not be stored in the environment above 50 ℃.
Attention to use
In the absence of a viscosity regulator, the dilution of AES into aqueous solutions containing 30% or 60% active substances often leads to a sticky gel. In order to avoid this phenomenon, the correct way is to add the highly active product to the specified amount of water and stir at the same time. Instead of adding water to high active raw materials, it may lead to gel formation.
