Bio-based polymers have a strong production capacity

Biopolymer is a polymer chain polysaccharide polymer produced by the action of Xanthomonas species on carbohydrates. It is a polymer organic chemical in organic chemicals. The production capacity of bio-based polymers continues to grow at a rate of about 3% to 4% per year, roughly the same as for petrochemical polymers. Therefore, the market share of bio-based polymers in the polymer market remains around 2%. However, the individual development of different bio-based polymers varies greatly.

Some of the bio-based polymers are actually collapsing (such as bio-PET) compared to previous predictions, but many still show the ability to continue or slightly increase, and some even show a significant growth trend (such as PLA). In addition, for some bio-based polymers, such as PHA, PEF, bio-PE and bio-polypropylene, the future prospects are quite optimistic.
